High Risk Families, Identification and Intervention:
A Criminal Justice Perspective

This dynamic full-day training will examine risk and resiliency factors inherent in family functioning. Genetic and sociological predisposing factors will be considered in the evolution of high risk families. Participants will learn to identify developmental, environmental, and economic issues  which pose specific barriers to effective human service intervention. Participants will learn family intervention strategies to raise awareness, build skills, and provide resources in ways that do not contribute to further dysfunctional behavior.

Target Audience:
Probation, Parole and Criminal Justice Case workers, Mental Health or Substance Abuse practitioners working at any level with children, adolescents and families.
