Case Management Core Training Program
Module II - Working with Families & Crisis Intervention
June 20, 2008
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Participants will understand the value of working with the family in a collaborative manner.

Participants will learn ways that mental illness affects the family and their stages of coping.

Participants will explore roles the family can take such as, participation in assessment, assistance with medication and observing /assisting compliance, monitoring medication outcomes, and advocacy.

Participants will learn of various interventions with the family including education about mental illness, and making referrals to supportive resources.
