The ASPIN Supervisory Skills Certificate
Program covers critical skills supervisors need to perform such as
leadership, delegation, problem analysis, conflict, communication,
teambuilding, effective supervision, and time management. The ASPIN
Supervisory Skills Certificate is awarded upon completion of three
full day sessions. Courses will be offered on the second Wednesday
of the month from
9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Classes will be held at the ASPIN Education Network office.
Participants may register for individual days or for the full
certificate program. Sessions can be taken out of sequence, and
participants can begin the series with any session. Participants do
not need to be in current supervisory roles but may attend as a
preparatory step towards that goal. Class size is limited, and
individuals must register at least five business days prior to
training. Classes require a minimum of five participants.

Topics to be covered throughout training include assessing leadership, interviewing and selection, developing employees, accounting for the non-financial manager, management writing, risk management, and presenting. The ASPIN Management Certificate is awarded upon completion of five of the seven full day sessions. Courses will be offered on the third Wednesday of the month from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Classes will be held at the ASPIN Education Network office. Participants may register for individual days or the full certificate program.
