Accounting for the Non-Financial Manager

Budget Time?  Feeling overwhelmed?
Hate math? THIS CLASS CAN HELP!

Objectives:

  • Gain an understanding of accounting concepts and practices.
  • Understand and be able to effectively use financial statements such as:
    -The Balance Sheet
    -The Income Statement
  • Understand the importance of source documents.
  • Understand the basic methods of budgeting and why they are used.
  • Learn that math is your friend (really, it is!)

ASPIN Accountant Lori Billstrand guides students through the mysteries of accounting. Student will learn what terms like "accrual" and "GAAP" mean. Learn what a balance sheet is and what it is used for! She will reveal secrets known only to Accountants so you can astound your friends and coworkers!
